Participants of this course will learn the core elements of the culture associated with addiction, the definition and comparison between spirituality, religiosity and meaning of life; the differences among faiths in the method of approach to substances and how spiritual and religious foundation influence treatment. It will also cover spirituality characteristics of Alcoholics Anonymous and use of spirituality to motivate change from a biopsychosocial perspective.
